UOW Malaysia, formerly known as KDU College and University Colleges, is a vital part of the University of Wollongong Australia's global network, underscoring a deep commitment to accessible, high-quality tertiary education across Malaysia and the broader region. This transformation began in November 2018 when UOW Global Enterprises— a subsidiary of the University of Wollongong acquired a controlling interest in the KDU institutions. A year later, in November 2019, the institutions were officially rebranded as UOW Malaysia, comprising several branches: UOW Malaysia KDU Penang University College, UOW Malaysia KDU College, UOW Malaysia College, and the broader University of Wollongong Malaysia. The University of Wollongong also maintains international campuses in Australia, Dubai, and Hong Kong.
